Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-08-01

1. The service

Ads Audit is a Google Ads account audit tool that, in its current version, only reads account data. After you connect a Google Ads account through OAuth, the service reads account data, evaluates it against a defined set of audit rules, and returns findings, an account score, and prioritized recommendations.

[TODO — owner input required before public launch: legal entity name and registered address operating this service.]

2. Read-only functionality

As of this version, Ads Audit does not modify Google Ads campaigns, ad groups, keywords, bids, budgets or any other account setting. Google Ads issues a single OAuth scope that technically covers both reading and writing account data; Ads Audit’s own code contains no function that writes, and every request it makes to the Google Ads API is a read request. Any future feature that would write changes back to Google Ads will require separate, explicit authorization and will be described clearly before it is enabled.

3. Recommendation disclaimer

Findings and recommendations produced by Ads Audit are generated by an automated rule engine based on the data available at the time of the audit. They are informational and do not constitute professional advice, a guarantee of results, or a substitute for your own judgment. You are solely responsible for deciding whether, and how, to act on any recommendation, and for any changes made in your Google Ads account as a result.

4. Authorized use

You may use Ads Audit only for lawful purposes and only in connection with Google Ads accounts you are authorized to access and audit. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, and for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. Your responsibility for Google Ads account access

Connecting a Google Ads account through OAuth is your decision. You represent that you have the right to grant Ads Audit access to that account for the purpose of running an audit, whether it is your own account or one you manage on behalf of a client, and that doing so does not violate any agreement you have with a third party.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may change, and functionality described in our marketing pages or documentation may evolve as the product develops.

7. Intellectual property

The Ads Audit application, its audit rule engine, and its underlying software are owned by us or our licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of that software to you. Data from your own Google Ads account remains yours.

8. Account termination

You may stop using Ads Audit and disconnect any Google Ads connection at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the service, or attempt to access data or accounts without authorization.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ads Audit is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including decisions made based on its recommendations.

[TODO — owner input required: jurisdiction-specific liability caps and governing law before public launch.]

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
