Connect once. Keep checking.
Ads Audit does not automatically modify Google Ads campaigns. It reads account data, calculates a Google Ads Health Score against a fixed set of rules, and returns prioritized recommendations for a person to review and apply — then keeps re-checking so you know if the score improved.
- 01
Create an account
Sign up with an email address and organization name. No Google Ads account is required yet.
- 02
Connect Google through OAuth
You are redirected to Google, where you authorize Ads Audit to access your Google Ads data. Ads Audit never sees or stores your Google password, and its own code only ever reads — it never writes anything back to your account.
- 03
Select the account to monitor
Choose which accessible Google Ads account (including accounts reachable through a manager account) Ads Audit should check.
- 04
Import allowed data
Ads Audit reads campaigns, ad groups, keywords, search terms, ads, assets, budgets and conversion actions through the Google Ads API — using read requests only.
- 05
Calculate your Health Score
The audit engine evaluates every rule against the imported data and computes your overall Google Ads Health Score plus a score for each category. Rules with too little data to draw a conclusion are skipped, not guessed.
- 06
Prioritize what to fix
Every rule that triggers becomes a finding, with severity, category, measured evidence and a data-confidence label. Findings are ranked into a decision queue by severity and measured impact.
- 07
You decide what to implement
Ads Audit does not change anything in your Google Ads account. Every recommendation is reviewed and applied by a human, in Google Ads.
- 08
Re-check and track the trend
Run the audit again — after changes, or just on a schedule. Every run is saved as its own record, so you can watch the Health Score move over time, not just see what it is today.
This is a read-only product today. Ads Audit does not place bids, change budgets, pause campaigns, edit keywords or write anything back to Google Ads. Every recommendation is a suggestion with evidence attached — implementation is a decision you make in Google Ads itself. Re-checking today means running the audit again yourself; scheduled, automatic re-checks and alerts are on our roadmap, not available yet.
For transparency: Google Ads only offers a single OAuth scope, which technically covers both reading and writing account data — there is no separate “read-only” scope to request. Ads Audit’s restriction is enforced in its own code, not by the permission Google grants: no function in the codebase calls a write or mutate operation against the Google Ads API.
